Berger was reportedlyย leaning towards retirement, despite having offers from the Vikings and Lions, so this doesn’t come as a big surprise.
Berger, 35, is a former sixth-round pick of the Panthers back in 2005. He had brief stints with the Dolphins and Cowboys before eventually signing on with the Vikings in 2011.
Berger just finished the final year of his contract and is now an unrestricted free agent.
In 2017, Berger appeared in all 16 games for the Vikings and Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 21 overall guard out of 77 qualifiers.
