The Minnesota Vikings announced that they’ve signed 10 players futures contracts for the 2019 season on Wednesday.
The full list includes:
- DE Ifeadi Odenigbo
- RB Roc Thomas
- WR Jeff Badet
- CB Jalen Myrick
- C Cornelius Edison
- LB Reshard Cliett
- T Storm Norton
- TE Cole Hikutini
- DE Curtis Cothran
- T Adam Bisnowaty
Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.
Odenigbo, 24, is a former seventh-round pick of the Vikings back in 2017. He was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the Vikings’ practice squad.
Minnesota brought him back on a futures contract last year, but waived him in October. He wound up being claimed by the Browns and had a brief stint with the Cardinals before returning to the Vikings in October.
During his college career at Northwestern, Odeanigbo recorded 61 tackle, 26.5 tackles for a loss, 23.5 sacks, five forced fumbles, two recoveries, and a pass defense over the course of four seasons and 37 games.
