Vikings Sign 7 Players To Futures Contract Including LB Alex Singleton

The Vikings announced Monday that they’ve signed seven players to  LB Alex Singleton to a future/reserve contract on Monday.

The other players signed include: LB Terrance Plummer, S John Lowdermilk, FB Blake Renaud, OL Isame Faciane, WR Isaac Fruechte, and DT Toby Johnson.

Future/reserve contracts are essentially an opportunity for players compete for a roster spot in offseason workouts and training camp.

Singleton, 21, wound up signing on with the Seahawks as an undrafted free agent out of Montana State shortly after this year’s NFL draft. However, he was unable to make the 53-man roster coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Patriots’ practice squad a few days into the season.

New England elected to release Singleton just one week later. He joined the Seahawks’ practice squad close to a month ago before the Vikings added him to their own practice squad.

During the preseason, Singleton recorded nine tackles over the course of four games.
