According to OverTheCap.com, releasing Anderson and McCray will free up $870000 in available cap space for the Vikings while creating no dead money.
Anderson, 24, signed on with the Giants as an undrafted free agent out of Louisiana-Lafayette last year. He was later waived/injured before eventually signing a future reserve contract with the Vikings in December of last year.
In 2014, Anderson appeared in two games, but didn’t record a single statistic.
McCray, 22, signed on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of UCF back in May of last year. Just like with Anderson, the Vikings signed McCray to a future/reserve contract in December.
He has yet to appear in an NFL game.
