49ers Cut 9 Players Including WR Jerome Simpson, Place WR Eric Rogers On I.R.

The San Francisco 49ers announced on Saturday that they have cut nine players, as they work to get down to the 75-man roster limit.

The list of roster cuts for the 49ers, includes:

• WR DiAndre Campbell
• RB Kendall Gaskins 
• DL Darren Lake
• K John Lunsford
• LB Wynton McManis
• OL Blake Muir 
• OL Ian Silberman
• WR Jerome Simpson
• CB Cleveland Wallace

The 49ers also placed WR Eric Rogers on the Injured Reserve List.

Simpson, 30, signed a two-year, $1.73 million contract with the 49ers back in March of last year and was set to make a base salary $885,000 for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Simpson appeared in six games and recorded five receptions for 54 yards receiving and a touchdown for the 49ers.
