It appeared that the Houston Texans would be without WR Andre Johnson for a number of weeks but a report from the The consensus had been that Johnson would miss the team’s Week 7 game against the Houston Chronicle suggests that he could be back this weekend for a big divisional game against the Tennessee Titans.
“He’s running,” said Texans head coach Gary Kubiak. “He ran some routes and caught the ball. There is still progress to make before Andre is going to be on the field. It may be that he gets on the field and practices a little bit before the week’s out. I don’t know right now. He continues to progress, and what are we — two weeks and a couple of days into this thing? There have been no setbacks. Everything has been positive, so we’ll keep going.”
Johnson’s injury looked to be pretty serious so a return after only a few weeks would be surprising. The Texans could really use Johnson this weekend as the winner of this game will have a leg up on the division.
