Bengals & G Kevin Zeitler Agree To End Extension Talks

Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that the Bengals and G Kevin Zeitler have agreed to table to extensions talks.

Zeitler is an obvious extension candidate, but it sounds like the two sides still a decent enough gap to be bridged before he’s under contract for the foreseeable future.

Zeitler, 26, was taken in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft out of Wisconsin. He was entering the final year of his four-year, $7.544 million rookie contract when the Bengals elected to pick up his fifth-year option last year.

Zeitler now stands to make a base salary of $8.01 million for the 2016 season before testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent next year.

In 2015, Zeitler appeared in all 16 games for the Bengals.
