The Buffalo Bills announced Monday that they’ve signed QB T.J. Yates to a contract.
Buffalo brought Yates in for a visit on Friday, so he was clearly on their radar as a potential addition.
Yates, 29, is a former fifth-round pick of the Texans back in 2011. He spent three years in Houston before he was traded to the Falcons for Akeem Dent. The Falcons later brought him back on a one-year contract before cutting him loose at the start of the 2015 season.
The Texans signed him to their roster in October and he finished out the year in Houston. Yates missed out of the 2016 season before he joined the Dolphins in December.
In 2015, Yates appeared in four games and threw for 370 yards while completing 49.1 percent of his passes to go along with three touchdowns and an interception.
