Dolphins Trade CB Jamar Taylor To Browns, Two Teams Swap 7th-Rd Picks

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Dolphins have traded CB Jamar Taylor to the Browns.

  • Armando Salguero adds that the Dolphins included pick No. 250 overall and receive No. 223 from the Browns.

It was clear that Taylor’s time with the Dolphins were numbered, and there was speculation that he could be a trade candidate.

Taylor, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Dolphins back in 2013. He’s in the final year of his four-year, $3.626 million rookie contract and stands to make a base salary of $899,475 for the 2016 season.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading Taylor will free up $899,475 in available cap space for the Dolphins while creating $254,300 in dead money.

In 2015, Taylor appeared in 12 games for the Dolphins and recorded 48 tackles, no interceptions, a fumble recovery and four pass defenses.
