The Texans had already ruled Cushing out for Week 2s game against the Bengals with a concussion, but it appears as though he’ll miss most of the 2017 season with this suspension.
Cushing, 30, is a former first-round pick of the Texans back in 2009. He’s currently in the fourth year of his six-year, $55.643 million contract that includes $21 million guaranteed and stands to make base salaries of $5.5 million and $7.25 million over the nex two years of the agreement.
This season, Cushing has appeared in one game and recorded three tackles and no sacks for the Texans.
