Broncos Re-sign RFA CB Tony Carter

Broncos restricted free agent CB Tony Carter has signed his tender, according to Troy Renck of the Denver Post.

The Broncos used an original round tender on Carter that will pay him non-guaranteed salary of $1.542 million for the 2015 season.

Carter, 28, signed on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out Florida State of back in 2009. He briefly played for the Patriots and Vikings before rejoining the Broncos in 2011 when he signed to their practice squad.

In 2014, Carter appeared in eight games, recording five total tackles, one pass defense, and one fumble recovery that he returned for a touchdown. Pro Football Focus has Carter down for playing just 87 total snaps last year.
