Broncos Waive DE George Uko

The Denver Broncos announced that they’ve placed DE George Uko on waivers Wednesday, per Nicki Jhabvala.

Uko, 24, originally signed on with the Saints as an undrafted free agent out of USC back in 2014. He lasted just a few months in New Orleans before he was cut towards end of the preseason and later signed to the Buccaneers practice squad.

The Broncos signed him to their practice squad after he was among the Buccaneers’ roster cuts at the start of the 2015 season. Denver brought Uko back on a future/reserve deal in February.

Uko didn’t appear in a single game during the 2015 season.
