Browns Grant QB Kevin Hogan Permission To Seek Trade

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Browns QB Kevin Hogan requested and received permission for his agent to seek a trade out of Cleveland.

The Browns have already traded away DeShone Kizer to the Packers as they overhaul their quarterback group, so it makes plenty of sense that they would allow Hogan to try to find a new team.

It’s clear that the Browns will take a quarterback with one of their two first-round picks, which means they will end up with Tyrod Taylor, Drew Stanton and a rookie to open the season.

Hogan, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Chiefs back in 2016. He was waived coming out of the preseason and was later signed to the Browns’ practice squad before being called up a few months into the 2016 season.

In 2017, Hogan appeared in four games and thrown for 517 yards while completing 61.3 percent of his passes to go along with four touchdowns and five interceptions.
