Browns Signing OT Chris Hubbard To Five-Year, $37.5M Deal

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Browns are expected to sign OT Chris Hubbard to a five-year deal worth $37.5M with nearly $18M guaranteed.

Hubbard, 26, signed on with the Steelers as an undrafted free agent out of UAB back in 2013. He spent his first year on the practice squad before returning to the team on a future/reserve contract.

The  Steelers signed him to another one-year extension and used a low-round tender last offseason that cost $1.8 million for the 2017 season as a restricted free agent. However, they were able to negotiate another salary figure for a one-year deal.

In 2017, Hubbard appeared in all 16 games for the Steelers and Pro Football Focus rated him as the No. 40 offensive tackle out of 81 qualifiers.

We had him featured in our Top 100 – 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
