Chiefs Sign Four To Practice Squad Including QB Joel Stave

The Kansas City Chiefs announced several roster moves on Tuesday including the release of CB Terrance Mitchell.

  • The Chiefs signed OL Jordan Devey, S Jimmy Hall, CB Tyler Patmon, and QB Joel Stave to their practice squad.
  • The Chiefs waived OT Zach Sterup, RB Zac Brooks and G Jarrod Pughsley from their practice squad.

The Chiefs’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. WR Frankie Hammond
  2. RB Darrin Reaves
  3. WR Seantavius Jones
  4. DE Bobby Richardson
  5. DT T.J. Barnes
  6. OT Joseph Cheek
  7. OL Jordan Devey
  8.  S Jimmy Hall
  9.  CB Tyler Patmon
  10. QB Joel Stave

Stave, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin back in May. He was, unfortunately, waived coming out of the preseason before later signing on to the Vikings’ practice squad.

The Vikings cut Stave loose last week and he later signed on with the Seahawks after clearing waivers.

During his four-year college career, Stave threw for 7,635 yards while completing 59.5 percent of his passes to go along with 48 touchdowns and 37 interceptions.
