The Indianapolis Colts announced that they’ve claimed C Dillon Day off of waivers from the Broncos on Wednesday.
It makes sense that the Colts would bring in some help at center with Ryan Kelly continuing to deal with injuries.
Day, 26, wound up signing on with the Broncos as an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State back in May of 2015. He was on and off of the team’s practice squad the first two years and returned to the Broncos on a future/reserve contract this past January.
However, the Broncos cut him loose as their trimmed their roster down to 53 players. Day was added to their practice squad soon after before he was called up last weekend.
The Broncos waived him on Tuesday.
Day has yet to appear in an NFL game.
