Dolphins Promote CB Tyler Patmon, Waive DE Jordan Williams

The Miami Dolphins announced Saturday that they’ve promoted CB Tyler Patmon to their active roster and waived DE Jordan Williams.

Patmon, 24, signed on with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent out of Oklahoma State back in May of last year. He’s managed to make the 53-man roster in each of his first two years in the league.

Patmon was cut loose by the Cowboys last week before signing on to the Dolphins’ practice squad a few days ago.

This season, Patmon has appeared in 11 games and recorded 13 tackles, six pass defenses and 26 kick return yards for the Cowboys. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 8 cornerback out of 116 qualifying players.
