Eagles Waive QB Jerod Evans & DT Charles Walker From I.R. With Settlements

The Philadelphia Eagles officially waived QB Jerod Evans and DT Charles Walker from injured reserve with settlements on Monday.

Evans, 23, wound up signing on with the Eagles as an undrafted free agent last week. He recently suffered a foot injury and was waived with an injury designation last week and later reverted to their injured reserve list.

During his one season at Virginia Tech, Evans threw for 3,552 yards while completing 63.5 percent of his passes to go along with 29 touchdowns and eight interceptions over the course of 14 games.

Walker, 23, wound up going undrafted out of Oklahoma before securing this opportunity with Philadelphia a few weeks ago. The Eagles waived Walker with an injury designation on Thursday to make room for newly signed RB LeGarrette Blount.

During his college career at Oklahoma, Walker recorded 53 tackles, 13 tackles for a loss, 6.5 sacks, five pass defenses and one forced fumble over the course of three seasons and 21 total games.
