Eric Decker “Very Receptive” To Returning To Broncos

Free agent WR Eric Decker said in a recent interview with Brandon Stokley of 104.3 The Fan (per Nicki Jhabvala) that he’s “very receptive” to returning to the Broncos.

“Listen, there’s no holdup on my end,” Decker said when asked by Stokley what’s holding up him re-signing with the Broncos. “So whoever you need to call for me, whoever you need to reach out to, please do. Not only is the team one of the greatest organizations in the NFL, but just the community. This is home for us. It’s still a big part of us because, again, we started our lives here, this is where I got drafted, this is where I had both of my kids and gonna have my third kid, so it just means a lot to me. So obviously it’s a desirable place, but again, everything’s got to align, the stars have to kind of align for it to all work. But I’m very receptive to make it happen.”

So far this offseason, Decker has only visited with the Raiders. There was a report that he was set to meet with the Saints but that was quickly shot down by HC Sean Payton.

Decker, 30, is a former third-round pick of the Broncos back in 2010. He spent four years in Denver before signing a five-year, $36.25 million contract that included $15 million guaranteed with the Jets as a free agent back in 2014.

Decker was set to make base salaries of $7.25 million and $7.5 million over the remaining two years of the agreement when the Jets cut him loose last year.

The Titans to a one-year contract worth up to $5.35 million last June and he’s once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Decker appeared in all 16 games for the Titans and caught 54 passes for 563 yards receiving and one touchdown. He also contributed 22 kick return yards. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 60 receiver out of 116 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 50 Available 2018 NFL Free Agents list.
