Falcons Waive CB Deji Olatoye, Promote G Jamil Douglas

The Atlanta Falcons announced Friday that they’ve waived CB Deji Olatoye and promoted G Jamil Douglas to their active roster.

Olatoye, 25, originally signed on with the Ravens an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina A&T back in 2014. He later caught on with the Chiefs and Cowboys before the Falcons signed him to their practice squad at the start of last year and eventually called him up in November.

The Falcons elected waived Olatoye a few weeks into the regular season and he later caught on with the Buccaneers. After Tampa Bay cut him loose a few weeks ago, Olatoye returned to the Falcons.

In 2017, Olatoye has appeared in five games and record one tackle and no interceptions or pass defenses.
