Former Saints QB Garrett Grayson officially passed through waivers without being claimed on Thursday.
It’s possible the Saints will sign him to their practice squad in the coming days.
Grayson, 25, was taken with the No. 75 overall pick in the third round of last year’s draft. He was in the second year of his four-year, $3,400,606 rookie contract and set to make a base salary of $589,573 for the 2016 season when the Saints cut him loose on Wednesday.
In 2015, Grayson was active for one game for the Saints.
