Adam Schefter has confirmed that free agent DL Ricky Jean Francois will meet with the Packers on Wednesday.
Free agent DL Ricky Jean Francois announced via his Twitter account that he’s traveling to Green Bay to meet with the Packers.
Jean Francois has met with the Seahawks and Bears since he recently became available.
Francois, 30, is a former seventh-round pick of the 49ers back in 2009. He played four seasons for San Francisco before departing and signing on with the Colts as an unrestricted free agent.
After two years, the Colts cut Jean-Francois loose and he signed a three-year, $9 million contract with the Redskins in February of 2015. He was set to make a base salary of $2.75 million for the 2017 season when the Redskins released him in a move that freed up $3 million of available cap space.
In 2016, Jean Francois appeared in all 16 games for the Redskins and recorded 32 tackles, 1.5 sacks, and a pass defense. ProFootballFocus rated him as the No. 45 overall interior defender out of 127 qualifying players.
