Jets Re-Sign DL Mike Pennel To Three-Year Deal Worth Up To $12M

According to Ian Rapoport, the Jets have re-signed DT Mike Pennel to a three-year contract worth up to $12 million.

Pennel’s agent has confirmed the news:

Pennel, 26, wound up signing on with the Packers as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State-Pueblo back in 2014. He was waived towards the end of 2016 and was later claimed off of waivers by the Jets.

New York declined to tender Pennel a contract last year but brought him back on a one-year contract soon after.

In 2017, Pennel appeared in all 16 games for the Jets and recorded 35 tackles and no sacks.
