Jets Signing FB John Conner

Rand Getlin of Yahoo Sports is reporting that the Jets are signing FB John Conner to a one-year contract on Tuesday.

New York brought Conner in for a workout on Monday after their starting FB Tommy Bohanon broke his collarbone during Sunday’s loss to the Lions.

Conner, 27, was originally drafted by the Jets in the fifth round of the 2010 NFL Draft. He spent two years with the team before he was ultimately waived with an injury settlement in October of 2012. Since then, Conner has played for the Bengals and Giants.

Last year, Conner appeared in 13 games for the Giants and caught six passes for 31 yards receiving and was rated as the No. 3 fullback in the league, according to Pro Football Focus.
