Jets Signing WR Wendall Williams To Practice Squad

Aaron Wilson of the National Football Post reports that the Jets are signings WR Wendall Williams to their practice squad on Friday.

The Jets will need to make a roster move to free up a spot for Williams, as they’re currently at the 10-man limit. Here’s how the squad looks right now:

  1. WR Myles White
  2. G Craig Watts
  3. DL Claude Pelon
  4. LB Freddie Bishop
  5. CB Bryson Keeton
  6. S Doug Middleton
  7. RB/KR Raheem Mostert
  8. CB Dexter McDougle
  9. S Ronald Martin
  10. RB Dominique Williams

Williams, 25, wound up signing on with the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Cumberlands back in May. He was, unfortunately, cut loose last weekend as the Texans trimmed their roster down to 53 players.

During the preseason, Williams caught two passes for 16 yards receiving and lost a fumble.
