Colts WR Duron Carter tells ESPN that this is likely his last chance to have an NFL career after the off-the-field issues he dealt with that led to him playing in the CFL.
“Just being immature,” Carter said of his previous problems, via ESPN.com. “Not taking school serious. I always knew I was a football player and I always wanted to be in the NFL. I didn’t really know the route it took to get there. I messed that opportunity up, a few opportunities, really. And for me I’m really on my last chance and making sure I do everything day to day, doing everything right, not making any wrong decisions. Don’t shoot myself in the foot. That’s what I always seem to do before.”

Saints QB Drew Brees said he wasn’t overly concerned about the trade rumors that surfaced earlier in the offseason.
“I would have people come and, ‘So I hear you’re getting traded to Tampa,'” Brees said, via ESPN.com. “Oh, OK, great. And then the next week, it’s like, OK, who is it this week? Buffalo? Or wherever else. So I lost track. But again, I know that if things like that were taking place that I have the type of relationship with our team, our organization, that I would know about those things. So when I hear them second-hand or from a media outlet or whatever, I don’t really pay it much attention.”
