NFL Won’t Suspend Bills RB LeSean McCoy For Nightclub Incident

Vic Carucci fo the Buffalo News reports that the NFL will not suspend Bills RB LeSean McCoy and his involvement in a nightclub incident that occurred back in February.

This comes just a few weeks after the Pennsylvania attorney general officially dismissed their investigation into McCoy and the incident.

All indications have been for a few months now that McCoy was unlikely face charges for the incident.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reported back in April that the McCoy was not expected to face any discipline from the NFL for his role in the altercation. However, the league was reportedly still conducting their investigation into the matter.

According to Rapoport, the Bills had planned all offseason for some sort of suspension for McCoy, but with a lack of evidence in the altercation, he is not expected to face any sort of ban to open the 2016 season.

McCoy, 27, is in the second year of his five-year, $40 million contract that included $26.05 million guaranteed. He stands to make a base salary of $4.8 million for the 2016 season.

In 2015, McCoy appeared in 12 games for the Bills and ran for 895 yards on 203 carries (4.4 YPC) to go along with 32 receptions for 292 yards receiving and five total touchdowns for the Bills. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 31 running back out of 67 qualifying players.
