Packers Interviewing Karl Dorrell For WRs Coach Job

Tom Silverstein of PackersNews.com reports that the Packers have received permission from the Jets and are expected to interview WRs coach Karl Dorrell for their WRs coaching job under new HC Matt LaFleur.

Dorrell, 55, began his coaching career at UCF as their WRs coach back in 1989. He took his first NFL coaching job with the Broncos as their WRs coach 2000 and spent three years in Denver.

Dorrell departed to become the head coach at UCLA in 2003 and held the job for five seasons.

The Dolphins would later hire Dorrell as their WRs coach for the 2008 season and he later worked for the Texans and Vanderbilt before the Jets hired him to coach receivers in 2015.

During his five years as the head coach at UCLA, Dorrell led them to a record of 35-27 (56.4 percent) and five bowl appearances.
