Packers Have S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix On Trade Block

Update:

Jay Glazer confirmed on Fox NFL Sunday that Packers S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix is, in fact, on the trade block.

According to Albert Breer of TheMMQB.com, one name to watch in the days leading up to the trade deadline includes Packers S Ha Ha Clinton-Dix.

Breer says that while Clinton-Dix hasn’t fallen out of favor in Green Bay, he is in the final year of his contract and the Packers apparently like their depth in the second enough to consider trading him.

A few weeks ago, Clinton-Dix told Jason Wilde of Madison.com that he doesn’t expect to be back in Green Bay after this season.

“Right now, I’m playing each and every game like it’s my last. I don’t think I’m going to be here next year,” Clinton-Dix said. “That’s how I look at it. I just (have to) be honest with myself. You’ve got to play it game-by-game. Whether we’re losing by 60 points, you’ve got to go out there and perform. This is my biggest interview of my career. So I’ve got to perform, regardless of what the record says.”

Clinton-Dix, 25, was taken with the No. 21 overall pick by the Packers back in 2014. He played out the final year of his four-year, $8,338,501 contract when the Packers picked up his fifth-year option.

Clinton-Dix will make a base salary of $5,957,000 for the 2018 season before becoming an unrestricted free agent in 2019.

In 2018, Clinton-Dix has appeared in six games for the Packers and recorded 23 tackles, one sack, three interceptions, a forced fumble and three pass defenses.

We have him featured in our Top 25 – 2019 NFL Free Agents list.
