Packers Worked Out WR Devin Smith

According to Rob Demovsky, the Packers brought in free agent WR Devin Smith for a tryout on Friday.

Since becoming a free agent back in July, Smith has worked out for a number of teams including the Colts, Texans, Buccaneers and Redskins.

Smith, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Jets back in 2015. He was in the final year of his four-year, $5.872 million rookie contract that includes $3.667 million guaranteed and set to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season when the Jets waived him this past July.

Since entering the NFL, Smith has suffered two torn ACLs.

In 2016, Smith was limited to appearing in just four games and caught one pass for 20 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
