Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Patriots have released veteran CB E.J. Biggers on Tuesday.
Biggers, 29, is a former seventh-round pick of the Buccaneers back in 2009. He finished out his rookie contract with the Buccaneers and later caught on with the Redskins as an unrestricted free agent in March of 2013.
Biggers lasted just a year in Washington before signing a one-year agreement with the Eagles in 2015. The Patriots elected to sign Biggers to a one-year, $840,000 back in March.
In 2015, Biggers appeared in all 16 games for the Eagles and recorded 44 tackles, no interceptions and seven pass defenses.
