Patriots Waive S Brock Vereen After Reinstating Him From Retired List

The New England Patriots officially reinstated S Brock Vereen from the reserve/retired list and placed him on waivers Tuesday.

This is really strange, considering that they just placed him on the retired list yesterday out of nowhere.

Vereen, 23, is a former fourth-round pick of the Bears back in 2014. He was in the second year of his four-year, $2,611,500 rookie contract when the Bears cut him loose a few weeks into the 2015 season.

The Vikings later signed him to their practice squad before he later caught on with the Patriots towards the end of last year. Vereen returned to New England on a future/reserve contract this past January.

In 2015, Vereen has appeared in three games for the Bears, but did not record a single statistic.
