Raiders Sign DE Damontre Moore

Raiders HC Jack Del Rio mentioned on the Jim Rome show Monday morning that they’ve signed DE Damontre Moore to a contract, per Scott Bair.

I think the better our pass rush is, the better any secondary is,” said Del Rio, via SilverandBlackPride.com. “We took steps in that area as well with grabbing Bruce Irvin in free agency and being able to draft Shilique Calhoun and we just added Damontre Moore to get a shot to come in here and see if he can’t jumpstart his career.

Moore, 23, is a former third-round pick of the Giants back in 2013. He lasted over two years in New York before he was waived in December of last year.

The Dolphins elected to claim him off of waivers from the Giants. However, he was just recently cut loose.

In 2015, Moore has appeared in 14 games and recorded 27 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble and a recovery for the Giants and Utah.
