Rams In Talks To Re-Sign OLB Connor Barwin & C John Sullivan

Rams GM Les Snead told reporters on Wednesday that they are in talks with free agent C John Sullivan and OLB Connor Barwin about returning to Los Angeles, perĀ Alden Gonzalez.

Barwin, 31, is a former second-round pick of the Texans back in 2009. He was entering the fifth year of his six-year, $36 million contractĀ that included $8 million guaranteed when the Eagles released him last year,

The Rams later signed him to a one-year contract and he’s once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Barwin appeared in 14 games for the Rams and recorded 34 tackles, five sacks and a fumble recovery. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 103 edge rusher out of 106 qualifying players.

Sullivan, 32, is a former sixth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2008. He had twoĀ years remaining on his six-year, $25.6 million contractĀ when the Vikings cut him loose after they were unable to find a trade partner.

The Redskins signed him to a contract a few weeks into the regular season and finished out the year in Washington. The Rams signed him to a one-year deal back in April of last year.

In 2017, Sullivan appeared in 15 games for the Rams and Pro Football Focus graded him as the No. 10 overall center out of 68 qualifiers.
