The St. Louis Rams placed WR Austin Pettis on waivers Monday, according to the NFL transaction release.
Pettis, 26, is a former 2011 third-round pick of the Rams, but has been limited to playing just 34 percent of the team’s snaps in 2014.
He still had one remaining on his rookie contract that was worth a total value of $2,729,416. His base salary for the 2014 season was $670,000.
Pettis has appeared in five games and caught 12 passes for 118 yards receiving and one touchdown over the course of five games.
