Redskins Have Expressed Interest In WR Michael Crabtree, Chargers A “Stronger Possibility”

John Keim of ESPN reports that the Redskins haveĀ  expressed interest in free agent WR Michael Crabtree. However, is sounds like the Chargers are a “stronger possibility” at this point in time.

The last we heard regarding Crabtree,Ā Dianna Marie Russini reported that the 49ers areĀ interested in re-signing him, but he was expected to haveĀ other options to consider.

Overall, the market forĀ Crabtree has been extremely quiet. Although, that could change in the coming days given that we’re now in the second wave of free agency and Crabtree is among the best available players.

The Chargers are clearly looking to add a receiver and met with Stevie Johnson on Friday. They were also one of the potential suitors for Percy Harvin.

Crabtree, 27, played out hisĀ six-year, $32Ā million rookieĀ contract with the 49ers, which included $10,065,000 guaranteed.

Last year, Crabtree appeared in all 16 games and caught 68 passes for 698 yards receiving and four touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 95 receiver out of 110 qualifying players.

We have Crabtree listed as the No. 34Ā player in our Top 1ooĀ Free Agents list.
