Austin, 24, will be entering his third different team in just his third season in the NFL. The Giants drafted Austin in the second-round of the 2011, but he struggled to stay healthy during his time in New York, which ultimately led to him getting released earlier this year. Austin resurfaced with the Dolphins, but released after just two games.
The Cowboys really need help on their defensive line, and more specifically at defensive tackle. Dallas released veteran Jay Ratliff last week and are currently without DE’s Anthony Spencer and DeMarcus Ware. We’ll have to see if Austin is able to turn his career around in the coming weeks, but the odds are clearly against him.
