Michael Lombardi of the NFL Network reports that the St Louis Rams are “shopping several players” around the league as the October 30 trade deadline draws closer.
Lombardi didn’t name any players in particular, but you would have to think that Steven Jackson would be one of the these guys, considering that they have already agreed to allow him to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
According to Lombardi, the Rams “know they’re not going to the Super Bowl this year.”
St Louis is currently 3-3, so it’s not as though they have no chance of making the playoffs, but it would certainly be a pretty big surprise to see them make a deep postseason run.
We’ll have more on who could be available at the trade deadline in the coming weeks.
