Saints Signing Veteran WR Michael Floyd

Nick Underhill reports that the Saints are signing veteran WR Michael Floyd to a contract on Tuesday.

Floyd, 28, is a former first-round pick of the Cardinals back in 2012. He played his four-year, $9.972 million contract before the Cardinals elected to pick up his fifth-year option in 2015.

After he was arrested for DUI in 2016, Arizona elected to cut him loose and he was later claimed off of waivers by the Patriots. The Vikings signed him to a one-year, $1.41 million contract last year and was once again testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

The Ravens worked out Floyd back in March but did not sign him to a contract.

In 2017, Floyd appeared in 11 games for the Vikings and caught 10 passes for 78 yards receiving and no touchdowns.
