Steelers OLB James Harrison Returning For 2016 Season

On Monday, Steelers OLB James Harrison announced that he’s returning for the 2016 season.

Harrison, 37, signed a two-year, $2.75 million contract that included a $500,000 signing bonus with the Steelers back in March of last year. He stands to make a base salary of $1.25 million for the 2016 season.

In 2015, Harrison appeared in 15 games and recorded 40 tackles, five sacks, an interception, two forced fumbles and four pass defenses for the Steelers. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 8 outside linebacker in a 3-4 defense out of 53 qualifying players.
