Texans Worked Out S Calvin Pryor

Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans worked out SĀ Calvin Pryor on Tuesday.

Pryor, 25, is a former first-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $8.56 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $1,587,717 for the 2017 season.

The Jets declined to pick up Pryor’s fifth-year option this offseason and later traded him to the Browns in return for LB Demario Davis. Pryor was waived by the Browns a few weeks ago after he got into a fight with a teammate and he was later claimed by the Jaguars.

Unfortunately, the Jaguars placed him on injured reserve a few weeks into the regular season before recently activating him from the list. However, Jacksonville cut him loose a few weeks ago.

In 2017, Pryor has appeared in two games and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.

We have him featured in ourĀ Top 50 Available Free Agents list.
