Vaughn McClure of ESPN reports that veteran OL Pat McQuistan is among the players released by the Atlanta Falcons as they work to get down to 53 players.
- Other players released/waived so far include: LB Pat Angerer, LB Yawin Smallwood (seventh-round pick), FB Maurice Hagens, and RB Josh Vaughan.
McQuistan, 31, signed with the Falcons a few weeks, so the odds were against him making the team barring an injury and/or an extremely impressive performance during the final preseason games.
McQuistan signed with the Jaguars back in August of last year, but he was later released and caught on with the Titans. He last appeared in an NFL game during the 2012 season while playing for the Arizona Cardinals.
