The Cincinnati Bengals announced that they’ve signed G Trey Hopkins to their practice squad on Friday after he passed through waivers unclaimed and waived CB Tony McRae from the unit.

The Bengals ’ practice squad now consists of:

  1. DE Ryan Brown
  2. HB Tra Carson
  3. DT David Dean
  4. CB Darius Hillary
  5. WR Jake Kumerow
  6. TE Matt Lengel
  7. Trey Hopkins
  8. G Alex Redmond
  9. LB Paul Dawson
  10. WR Alonzo Russell

McRae, wound up signing on with the Raiders as an undrafted free agent out of North Carolina A&T back in May. However, he, unfortunately, lasted less than a week in Oakland before he was waived.

The Bengals signed him to a contract close to a month ago before later cutting him loose coming out of the preseason. Cincinnati signed McRae to their practice squad a day later.

During his college career at North Carolina A&T, McRae recorded 87 solo tackles, 57 unassisted tackles, six interceptions and 23 pass defenses. He also totaled 995 kick return yards and two touchdowns on 41 attempts.
