NFL neefs to be more transparent on the exact reason a particular team gets a compensation pick. Like this team lost this guy so they deserve a pick in this round.

The last thing New England needs is compensation for anything
You sem smart. Can you explain the compensatory system to me. I get the part about loosing players but who decides what the value is? How do they decide if it’s a 3rd, 4th, or whatever? My feeling is they should dump the whole co,pensation thing.
Wll I am probably not the best to explain it but basically it is based on the quality of players you lost to free agency. They have a grading system that is supposed to make it fair. I don’t know what that system is or how it works. Basically if you lose a top tier player due to free agency you get draft compensation for that player. I believe that a 3rd rounder is the best you can get but not positive. It is also based on the number of free agents you lose. The more you lose the more picks you get. Bear in mind 6th round comp picks are really all that useful except for camp bodies and special teams players so you don’t get true value for losing Ndamukong_Suh or Brock osweiller. But it is something to take some of the sting out of it.

Been a fan since their inaugural season, even with Delhomme’s meltdown(though he was never that good), Weinke, Clausen.. The missed kick and botched kickoff(helicopter?) I’m no bandwagon fan.. And they are legitimately a great team and routinely crapped on because of team history..I just pray we build on last year and actually bring one home!

I’d say maybe 25%, another 25% of NC peeps pull for Atlanta, 25% or so for big market popular teams (patriots, green bay, Denver.) I grew up in Charlotte and live in Durham.. Been in NC MY WHOLE LIFE so I would know what I’m talking about.. I’m all for new fans, bigger market, more media.. Maybe goodell will pull some strings for us then! Si climb on the bandwagon and bring it on in, I’ll get them educated on the team.
I’m a huge falcons fan I used to live in Georgia but live right near Greenville NC for the 13 yrs.its just annoying to listen to people talk crap especially when just a couple of yrs ago alot of them were B**ching about the contract Cam got and now all of a sudden they love him
I admit I wasn’t a fan of the moping, and towel over his face, and dissing his own team, but he has grown a lot, and developed well. Any Panthers fan that didn’t want him signed must not be a football fan, because he’s clearly a mega talent in the league.
