2025 NFL Mock Draft 1.0

Free Agency has wound down to a crawl, which means NFL draft season is about to ramp up between now and the last week of April. NFL teams have tried to address roster needs and free themselves up to draft the best players on their board so this is an interesting time to start piecing together my first mock draft of the season.

Stay tuned for more draft coverage at NFL Trade Rumors from our writers over the next month or so!

2025 NFL Mock Draft

1 โ€“ Tennessee Titans: Cam Ward QB Miami

The Titans have said they plan to go through the process and that theyโ€™re willing to listen to offers for the No. 1 pick, but it seems like a foregone conclusion at this point that Cam Ward will be headed to Tennessee.

2 โ€“ Cleveland Browns: Abdul Carter EDGE Penn State

Carter has elite potential at a premium position. Travis Hunter seems like a serious consideration here, but with the Browns locking up Myles Garrett long-term, adding another impact edge rusher could create an impressive pass-rush duo for the years to come.

3 โ€“ New York Giants: Travis Hunter CB/WR Colorado

The Giants are going to be the most fascinating team to watch in the early portion of the draft. A number of options could be on the table for New York including trading up to No. 1 overall or taking Shedeur Sanders at No. 3. However, Iโ€™m giving them, arguably, the most dynamic player in the draft, who could help at multiple areas of need for the Giants. NFL.comโ€™s Lance Zierlein compares Hunter to โ€œDeVonta Smith / Darius Slay.โ€

4 โ€“ New England Patriots: Will Campbell OT/G LSU

This has been a big offseason for the Patriots. Offensive line still stands out as a major need for New England. Campbell is an intriguing prospect based on the conversation about whether he should play offensive or guard at the next level. Campbell is a battle-tested and athletic prospect who could be a very solid starter at the next level. NFL.comโ€™s Lance Zierlein compares him โ€œTaylor Decker/Bernhard Raimann.โ€

5 โ€“ Jacksonville Jaguars: Mason Graham DT Michigan

Jacksonville is reworking its roster under their new GM and HC. Interior defensive line stands out as a position to target in the draft and Mason Graham is an athletic three-technique with pass-rush ability. NFL.comโ€™s Lance Zierlein compares him to Raiders DT Christian Wilkins.

6 โ€“ Las Vegas Raiders: Ashton Jeanty RB Boise State

The Raiders have other roster needs, but the opportunity to take a high-impact player like Jeanty at this point is likely too good to pass up. Jeanty was a phenomenally productive player at Boise State who could step in and help reshape the Raidersโ€™ offense in year one. NFL.comโ€™s Lance Zierlein compares him to LaDainian Tomlinson.

7 โ€“ New York Jets: Armand Membou OT Missouri

The Jets lost Morgan Moses in free agency, so right tackle stands out as an area of need heading into the draft. Membou is a very athletic offensive line who could step in and start for them day one. NFL.comโ€™s Lance Zierlein compares him to Packers RT Zach Tom.

8 โ€“ Carolina Panthers: Jalon Walker EDGE Georgia

The Panthers are still working to overhaul their defense. They brought in some veteran pass rushers to help solidify a big weakness in recent years but opted to move on from veteran LB Shaq Thompson this offseason. Walker is an intriguing hybrid type of linebacker who is capable of rushing the passer and playing off-ball linebacker.

9 โ€“ New Orleans Saints: Will Johnson CB Michigan

The Saints are in an interesting spot here, as they could take Shedeur Sanders, Tyler Warren or address another position such as edge rusher or receiver. Iโ€™m going with the top cornerback on the board. Johnson would give the Saints a big and productive cornerback to add to their secondary. Lance Zierlein compares him to Panthers CB Jaycee Horn.

10 โ€“ Chicago Bears: Shemar Stewart EDGE Texas A&M

Chicago has made a concerted effort to rebuild their offensive line this offseason and this presents a good opportunity to bolster their defensive line depth. Stewart tested very well at the combine and has been someone who has improved their stock throughout the draft process. Heโ€™s a long pass rusher with big upside.

11 โ€“ San Francisco 49ers: Mykel Williams EDGE Georgia

The 49ers lost a good amount of depth this offseason and edge rusher happens to be one of the areas where San Francisco is routinely looking to bring in depth. Williams is an interesting upside player who could grow into a much larger role than what he saw at Georgia. Lance Zierlein compares him to Bills EDGE Gregory Rousseau.

12 โ€“ Dallas Cowboys: Tetairoa McMillan WR Arizona

Dallas currently has Jalen Tolbert and Jonathan Mingo as the No. 2 and 3 receivers on their depth chart. Adding more weapons on offense makes a lot of sense as they try to turn things around after a disappointing 2024 season. McMillan would give the Cowboys a possession receiver with the ability to go up and get it down the field. Lance Zierlein compares him to Drake London.

13 โ€“ Miami Dolphins: Malaki Starks S Georgia

Safety has been a popular position for Miami in mock drafts for a few months now. They currently have Ifeatu Melifonwu and Ashtyn Davis slated to start for them in 2025. Starks was a three-year starter at Georgia who offers size and athleticism.

14 โ€“ Indianapolis Colts: Tyler Warren TE Penn State

Warren could end up going much higher than this, but should he fall to the Colts, he could be too hard to pass up. Warren is a very interesting prospect at tight end. He offers size, athleticism and the versatility to be utilized a number of ways on offense. He won the John Mackey Award last year and finished seventh in the Heisman Trophy voting.

15 โ€“ Atlanta Falcons: Mike Green EDGE Marshall

The Falcons are still working to get their pass rush solidified. They brought in veteran edge rusher Leonard Floyd this offseason, but more depth is needed. Green is a natural pass rusher with a high motor. Lance Zierlein compares him to Steelers EDGE Alex Highsmith.

16 โ€“ Arizona Cardinals: Matthew Golden WR Texas

The Cardinals could go a few ways with this pick, but there is an opportunity here to continue to build out their receiving corps for QB Kyler Murray. Golden is a very productive receiver who could help to open up the offense in Arizona. Lance Zierlein compares him to Saints WR Chris Olave.

17 โ€“ Cincinnati Bengals: James Pearce Jr EDGE Tennessee

The Bengals have invested quite a bit in retaining their offensive weapons this offseason, but itโ€™s been harder to address some of the teamโ€™s defensive needs. Trey Hendricksonโ€™s status is still in Cincinnati up in the air and it couldnโ€™t hurt to continue investing in the defensive line. Pearce is an instinctive pass rusher with good length and a knack for generating pressure on quarterbacks.

18 โ€“ Seattle Seahawks: Colston Loveland TE Michigan

Loveland could be gone well before the Seahawks are on the clock at No. 18 overall and itโ€™s possible he could be the first player drafted at his position. Loveland offers athleticism and very good receiving ability for a tight end. He should be easy to project in terms of how teams will use him at the next level. Lance Zierlein compares him to Lions TE Sam LaPorta.

19 โ€“ Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Jihaad Campbell LB Alabama

Campbell was a very productive player at Alabama and offers very impressive athleticism for the position. He can play both off-ball linebacker and rush the passer. He could be a good fit for a TB defense.

20 โ€“ Denver Broncos: Omarion Hampton RB North Carolina

The Broncos could use a No. 1 running back and Hampton could end up being a good fit in Sean Paytonโ€™s offense. Heโ€™s capable of shouldering the workload and is known for his aggressive running style.

21 โ€“ Pittsburgh Steelers: Shedeur Sanders QB Colorado

The Steelers finally put an end to Sandersโ€™ fall at No. 21 overall. Itโ€™s possible Sanders could go as high as No. 2 overall, but should he get by the Giants at No. 3, a drop to the 20s is in play. Sanders has a great feel to his game and displayed good anticipation, accuracy and toughness during his time at Colorado. Pittsburgh is still waiting to hear from Aaron Rodgers, but the opportunity to get a long-term prospect at the position would make a lot of sense, even if Rodgers plans to join them at some point.

22 โ€“ Los Angeles Chargers: Emeka Egbuka WR Ohio State

There are admittedly a few ways this pick could go for the Chargers, but to me, it would make sense to continue to invest in weapons for QB Justin Herbert to utilize in the coming years. Egbuka is a good athlete with ball skills and capable of running very good routes. Lance Zierlein compares him to Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

23 โ€“ Green Bay Packers: Jahdae Barron CB Texas

The Packers have yet to determine the future of CB Jaire Alexander, who could be moved between now and the draft. Green Bay did sign Nate Hobbs in free agency, but if Jaire isnโ€™t part of their future, it wouldnโ€™t hurt to bolster their depth with Barron, who could play the slot with Hobbs and Keisean Nixon handling the outside corner duties.

24 โ€“ Minnesota Vikings: Nick Emmanwori S South Carolina

Emmanwori is an impressive athlete with high-end speed. He could give the Vikings a long-term replacement for Harrison Smith and serve in a versatile role in his first year in the NFL.

25 โ€“ Houston Texans: Josh Simmons OT Ohio State

Itโ€™s rare to see a team completely overhaul their offensive line in a single offseason, but thatโ€™s what the Texans are attempting to do. Simmons is one of the best tackle prospects in this yearโ€™s class and is able to play either left or right tackle at the next level.

26 โ€“ Los Angeles Rams: Maxwell Hairston CB Kentucky

The Rams have done a good job of rebuilding their defense but cornerback seems like an area they could consider in the early part of the draft. Hairston offers length, ball skills and scheme versatility that should give him a reasonably high ceiling.

27 โ€“ Baltimore Ravens: Kelvin Banks Jr OT Texas

The Ravens were able to retain LT Ronnie Stanley this offseason, but could use some more offensive line depth. Banks could push for a starting job in his first training camp, as heโ€™s capable of playing play tackle and guard if need be.

28 โ€“ Detroit Lions: Tyler Booker OG Alabama

Booker would give the Lions a solid run-blocking guard to add to their physically imposing offensive line. While he didnโ€™t test all that well at the Combine, heโ€™s an easy projection at the next level and someone could secure a starting job very quickly.

29 โ€“ Washington Commanders: Grey Zabel OG North Dakota State

Zabel was a standout player at the Senior Bowl this year and wound up testing very well at the Combine. He has experience at a number of offensive line spots so the Commanders could try him in a few spots and see where he ultimately sticks.

30 โ€“ Buffalo Bills: Azareyeโ€™h Thomas CB Florida State

The Bills just locked up Christian Benford to a long-term deal, but there are still questions at cornerback. Thomas offers length, ball skills and competitiveness where it could be tough to pass on him at the backend of round one for a team in need of corner help.

31 โ€“ Kansas City Chiefs: Josh Conerly Jr OT Oregon

The Chiefs are still trying to get their offensive line solidified and brought in Jaylon Moore to start at left tackle. Even so, Jawaan Taylor remains a question mark and there is limited depth beyond that. Conerly is an upside offensive tackle prospect who will likely need some time, but the reward is worth it for a team at the end of round one.

32 โ€“ Philadelphia Eagles: Derrick Harmon DT Oregon

While the Eagles really donโ€™t have a lot of true roster holes to be addressed in the draft, depth at defensive tackle after losing Milton Williams in free agency could make some sense, especially considering that there could be a number of solid prospects available at No. 32. Harmon was a very productive player at Oregon. He has versatility and could be a good fit next to star DT Jalen Carter.
