2026 NFL Draft Tracker: First Round

1 — Las Vegas Raiders: Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza

Mendoza, 22, began his college career at Cal and became the starter as a redshirt freshman. He transferred to Indiana after two seasons and won a national championship and the Heisman Trophy.

He declared for the 2026 NFL Draft after the season.

Lance Zierlein compares him to Bengals QB Joe Burrow. 

In 2025, Mendoza started 16 games for the Hoosiers and completed 72 percent of his pass attempts for 3,535 yards, 41 touchdowns and six interceptions. He added 90 rushes for 276 yards and seven touchdowns.

2 — New York Jets: Texas Tech EDGE David Bailey

Bailey, 22, started his career at Stanford and became a starter as a true freshman. He transferred to Texas Tech for his senior year and was a unanimous All-American as well as the Big 12 defensive lineman of the year. 

NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein compared him to Broncos OLB Nik Bonitto.

During his four-year college career, Bailey recorded 163 total tackles, 42 tackles for loss, 29 sacks, 10 forced fumbles, one recovery and four pass deflections in 46 career games. 

3 — Arizona Cardinals: Notre Dame RB Jeremiyah Love

Love, 20, was a two-year starter at Notre Dame. He won the Doak Walker Award and Consensus All-American honors in 2025 as a junior and declared early for the 2026 NFL Draft. 

NFL Media’s Lance Zierlein compares him to Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs.

For his three-year college career at Notre Dame, Love appeared in 41 games and recorded 433 rushing attempts for 2,882 yards (6.7 YPC) and 36 touchdowns, to go along with 63 receptions for 594 yards (9.4 YPC) and six touchdowns.  

4 — Tennessee Titans: Ohio State WR Carnell Tate

Tate, 20, was a five-star recruit and ranked as the No. 22 prospect in the country before signing with Ohio State. He helped the Buckeyes win the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship. 

He declared for the 2026 NFL Draft after his junior season. 

During his three-year college career at Ohio State, Tate appeared in 39 games and recorded 121 receptions for 1,872 yards (15.5 YPC) and 14 touchdowns.  

5 — New York Giants: Ohio State EDGE Arvell Reese

Reese, 20, was a four-star recruit and the 18th-ranked linebacker in the 2023 recruiting class out of Cleveland, Ohio. He committed to Ohio State and remained there for three seasons, where he earned first-team All-Big 10 honors in 2025.

He declared early for the 2026 NFL Draft after just one season with the Buckeyes. 

In his collegiate career, Reese appeared in 36 games over three seasons with Ohio State and recorded 112 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, seven sacks, and two passes defended.

6 — Kansas City Chiefs (Via CLE): LSU CB Mansoor Delane

Delane, 22, was a three-star recruit and the 55th-ranked cornerback in the 2022 recruiting class out of Severn, Maryland. He committed to Virginia Tech where he played three seasons before transferring to LSU for his final year and was an All-American.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic has Delane as the top cornerback in the draft with a first-round grade.

In his collegiate career, Delane appeared in 44 games over four seasons at Virginia Tech and LSU. He recorded 191 total tackles, seven tackles for loss, eight interceptions, 27 passes defended and four forced fumbles.

7 — Washington Commanders: Ohio State LB Sonny Styles

Styles, 21, was a former five-star prospect in the 2022 class. He committed to Ohio State and was named second-team All-Big 10 in 2024 and first-team All-American in 2025.

Throughout his four-year career at Ohio State, Styles appeared in 53 games for Ohio State and recorded 131 total tackles, 22.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, nine passes defended and an interception.

8 — New Orleans Saints: Arizona State WR Jordyn Tyson

Tyson, 21, was a three-star prospect in the 2022 class and committed to play for Colorado. He opted to transfer to Arizona State following his freshman year in Boulder. He was named the Big 12 newcomer of the year in 2024 and earned first-team all Big-12 honors in 2024 and 2025.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic has Tyson as the third-best receiver in the class with a first to second-round grade.

Throughout his four-year career, Tyson appeared in 33 games and caught 158 passes for 2,282 yards and 22 touchdowns.  

9 — Cleveland Browns (Via KC): Utah OT Spencer Fano

Fano, 21, was a four-star recruit and the ninth-ranked offensive tackle in the 2023 recruiting class out of Spanish Fork, Utah. He committed to Utah and stayed there for three seasons, winning Unanimous All-American Honors and Big 12 OL of the Year in 2025.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic has Fano as the best tackle in the class with a first-round grade.

In his collegiate career, Fano made 36 starts over three seasons at Utah at left tackle and right tackle. 

10 — New York Giants (via CIN): Miami (FL) OT Francis Mauigoa

Mauigoa, 20, was the second-ranked tackle and the sixth-ranked player in the 2023 recruiting class out of Bradenton, Florida. He committed to Miami and played three seasons there, winning All American honors his junior season.

Dane Brugler of The Athletic has Mauigoa as the second-best offensive tackle in the class with a first-round grade.

In his collegiate career, Mauigoa appeared in 42 games over three seasons with the Hurricanes.

11 — Dallas Cowboys (Via MIA): Ohio State S Caleb Downs

Downs, 21, transferred to Ohio State in 2024 after one year in Alabama. He won this year’s Jim Thorpe Award for being the best defensive back in college football, along with earning the Lott Trophy for being the best defensive player of the year.

He earned Unanimous All-American honors in 2024 and 2025, Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year in 2025, Big Ten Defensive Back of the Year in 2024 and 2025, First-team All-Big Ten in 2024 and 2025, second-team All-American in 2023, and first-team All-SEC in 2023, and SEC Freshman of the Year in 2023. 

During his three-year college career, Downs appeared in 30 games for Ohio State and 14 games for Alabama, recording 257 tackles, 16.0 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks, six interceptions, 12 pass defenses, one fumble recovery and three forced fumbles.
