The San Francisco 49ers announced Wednesday that they’ve designated TE Jordan Reed, RB Tevin Coleman, and CB K’Waun Williams to return from injured reserve.

The 49ers also signed DL Alex Barrett, WR Chris Finke and CB Parnell Motley to their practice squad and released DL Josiah Coatney from the unit.

Here’s the 49ers updated practice squad:

  3. DT Darrion Daniels
  4. TE Chase Harrell (Suspended)
  5. DB Tim Harris
  6. RB Josh Hokit
  7. WR Jauan Jennings (Injured)

  13. TE Daniel Helm
  14. G Tony Bergstrom
  15. DT Willie Henry
  16. DL Alex Barrett
  17. WR Chris Finke
  18. CB Parnell Motley

This opens a three-week window of time for the 49ers to activate them from injured reserve and add them to their 53-man roster.

Coleman, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Falcons back in 2015. He played out the final year of his four-year, $3.219 million contract before agreeing to a two-year, $10 million contract with the 49ers last year.

In 2020, Coleman has appeared in two games for the 49ers and rushed for 30 yards on 18 carries (1.7 YPC) to go along with three receptions for 34 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Hasty, 24, signed on with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent out of Baylor back in April. He was waived coming out of training camp and signed on with the practice squad.

During his four-year college career, Hasty recorded 386 rushing attempts for 1,998 yards (5.2 YPC) and 15 touchdowns, to go along with 79 receptions for 485 yards receiving (6.1 YPC) and one touchdown.

Reed, 30, was taken in the third round of the 2013 NFL draft by the Redskins. He was in the final year of his rookie contract when he signed a six-year, $48 million deal that included $22 million guaranteed with Washington.

Reed was set to make base salaries of $8.25 million and $8.75 million over the next two years of the agreement when the Redskins released him earlier this offseason. He then signed a one-year deal with the 49ers prior to the start of the season.

In 2020, Reed has appeared in three games for the 49ers, recording 11 catches for 85 yards and two touchdowns.
