The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
Warner is the fourth player to be added to the list in recent days after the number had dropped to just one last week. With the start of the season in less than two weeks, this is something to keep an eye on.
Warner, 23, was drafted by the 49ers in the third round out of BYU in 2018. He’s entering the third year of his four-year, $3.979 million deal and is set to make a base salary of $844,000 in 2020.
In 2019, Warner appeared in all 16 games for the 49ers and recorded 118 total tackles, three sacks, three forced fumbles, one interception returned for a touchdown and nine pass defenses. Pro Football Focus rated Warner as the No. 33 linebacker out of 90 qualifying players.
