49ers Signing WR Keshawn Martin To Two-Year Contract

Rand Getlin reports that the 49ers are signing WR Keshawn Martin to a two-year contract on Tuesday.

Martin was clearly on the 49ers’ radar, as they hosted him for a visit a few weeks ago.

Martin, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Texans back in 2012. He spent just over three years in Houston before he was traded to the Patriots a few weeks into the regular season.

The Patriots signed Martin to a two-year, $3 million deal back in January, but he was, unfortunately, one of the team’s final roster cuts as they trimmed their roster down to the 53-man limit.

In 2015, Martin appeared in just nine games and caught 24 passes for 269 yards receiving and two touchdowns. He also contributed 257 kick return yards.
