The San Francisco 49ers announced on Wednesday they have placed C Marcus Martin on waivers.
Martin, 23, is a former third-round pick of the 49ers back in 2014. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.058 million contract and stands to make a base salary of $758,000 for the 2017 season.
The 49ers placed on injured reserve back December. In 2016, Martin appeared five games for the 49ers.
